Museum of Wood Carving
The Wood Carving Museum was founded in 1977 and contains 2,800 pieces acquired through donations from other collections and artists, expeditions, and purchases. The display is divided into three sections: Culture of Old, Applied Arts, and Sculpture. The Culture of Old section contains jugs that date back to 3 – 1 millennia B.C. discovered during the excavations in the Lake Sevan basin area and in the Ijevan region.. The Applied Arts and Sculpture sections display the artwork of professional sculptors, painters and experts in wood carving.
The Museum also organizes exhibition-sales.
