Derenik Demirchyan House-Museum has operated since 1977 in the house where the writer lived from 1929 - 1956. The museum was established largely due to the efforts of the writer's niece Natalya Shirinyan. The main collection contains 670 items, and the research collection has 610 items. The museum consists of three rooms and one hall. The first room presents the early period of the writer's life and creative work. The second room is the writer's study. The third room displays books and materials from the writer's mature period. The exhibit hall is dedicated to Demirchyan - dramatist, his "Kaj Nazar" (Brave Nazar) and other plays and performances. The collection also contains works of other Armenian artists dedicated to Demirchyan, as well as his sculpture portrait (author N. Nikoghosyan, 1978, bronze). Among the personal belongings of the writer is his Stradivarius violin. The museum hosts literary and musical performances, exhibitions and other events.
