Museum of one of the founders of cosmic biology Norayr Sisakyan was opened in 1986. The museum consists of about 350 items including the academician's personal belongings, photographs, manuscripts, books and documents. The majority of the items were donated by the wife of the scientist, Varvara Petrovskaya, and acquired due to the efforts of the director of the Museum of Revolution
R. Vardanyan and a section head of the same museum T. Gevorgyan. Renovations were greatly supported by the municipality of Ashtarak. The museum became operational only in 1998.
