“Heroic Ballade” concert-performance staged at the Republic Square on September 21 was perhaps one of the most memorable events organized within the 20th anniversary of Armenia’s independence.

The concert started with ''Heroic Ballade'' by Arno Babajanyan and the 3D image of the child Areg with Armenia's 3-colored flag appeared on the buildings-screens. He crossed the buildings of the Square and finally raised the flag on the top of Government Building accompanied by cheerful applauds and greetings.

Buildings of the Square were turning into big screens during the classical concert-performance which lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes. It featured episodes from the Armenian history and the history of our 20-year-old independent statehood. Some of the historical events were shown in 3D graphics.

''Of course, it's a matter of taste. Some people may not like it. But I am proud that 55 thousand people had the opportunity to watch a good show and listen to quality music, they got inspired and saw themselves and their history. Our experience and courage bore their results:)'', stage director of ''Heroic Ballade'' Aram Sukiasyan  told Bravo.am who together with the creative staff had prepared for about 3 months to make September 21 a real festive occasion.

The idea of the concert-performance was realized owing to technical support of a French company which specialists have worked at the Republic Square for a month.

The musical part of the performance was realized by the Armenian State Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Eduard Topchyan. The concert started with a piece from the Symphony N 2 by Avet Terteryan, then was followed by pieces by Achemyan, Saryan, Hovhannisyan, Khachatryan, Yekmalyan, Mirzoyan, Hovhannisyan, Baghdasaryan, Yerkanyan, Babajany6an, Komitas, Harutyunyan, Ayvazyan, Ayvazyan and Karvarents.

The concert which was a blend of 3D graphics, laser show, fire and fountain images and fireworks ended with “I Swear, Motherland” song written by Robert Amirkhanyan especially on this occasion.

“Everything was done in good taste”, Chiko

“At last we heard good music on such a day. Everything was beautiful and in good taste”, Chiko, Honored Artist of the Republic of Armenia Armen Tutunjyan told Bravo.am also speaking about the negative opinions on the concert. ''Those are the ill-tasted people of the younger generation or those who don't want to see the good sides whom I don't accuse. Every Armenian should have been full of pride for our army and art. I am thankful to all those who presented us that big festive occasion''.

Jazzman Levon Malkhasyan also greeted the fact that it was classical music that was heard at the Republic Square on that day. ''Lovers of pop music could have been in a different place where pop music is played. It was a real holiday in the city and everything was properly organized. I played that day that's why I didn't manage to see the event at the Republic Square. But choosing classical music for that day is already a big advantage to me''.
